MAZURKA, the 1955 Trumpy yacht that we’ve been following, has been moved from Brooklin Boat Yard’s big shop to the launching area. The finishing crew is working on her varnish and other finer surfaces. I hear that she’ll probably be ready to be driven to her winter home in Virginia by Monday,

The renowned BBY has worked on the 79.5-foot for about a month, sometimes with up to 15 craftsmen going at it at a time. The biggest problem was old, rotting wood on her bottom and in the bow/stem area, apparently.

Yet, she’s not fully restored. She’ll need more restoration internally, perhaps next fall. (Images taken in Brooklin, Maine, on October 28, 2026.)
