Here’s yesterday’s full moon rising over Great Cove. It’s traditionally known as The Strawberry Moon because it rose when Native Americans in Maine could first get extra-sweet Canadian strawberries in their supermarkets ....

Or, we might have gotten that name from the Algonquin People who called this full moon that because it rose when they harvested wild strawberries in pristine meadows, before subdivisions were invented.

Anyway, delicious Canadian strawberries are in our supermarkets now and they’re good alone or with virtually anything. I’m sprinkling some on the moon for you, so you’ll remember its name:
