Here you see Great Cove as a hazy dawn crept over a crowd of sleeping Eggemoggin Reach Regatta racers and their fans yesterday. The 41st annual running of the ERR took place a few hours later and the southern leg of the race also was visible from Great Cove Ridge, where I still had my iPhone handy:

After the sailboats did a U-around down the Reach, they came back and crossed the finish line at Great Cove to the tune of a large honking horn sounding as each vessel arrived. Following that, a banquet and award ceremonies were held on the WoodenBoat Publications and School campus

If I get a chance, I’ll edit and publish some closer (better camera) images of the boats as they came to the finish line. (Images taken in Brooklin, Maine, on August 1, 2026)
